Yes, it´s back to Placebo now.... after one week of Ramones non stop - don´t even ask. \n It´s kind of strange to start writing again, after all, it´s been more than one year since I´ve last written anything in this blog. I don´t know how long it will last this time, but today I just got this urge to start writing again. I got up really early (7 o´clock), had a shower and am now waiting for my hair to dry... so I can finally go to university and sign my contract - for my first class in theoretical physics, woohoo! I´ve been meaning to start with mechanics, but got e-dynamic instead. Well, nevermind, I now more about that anyway, I think. Plus, I have to go hand in my summary of my stay in Paris which was more than one year ago.... I´m quite nervous about that since I should have done it years ago, I hope they won´t be mean about it now. But hey, what can they do? Cu, I should really get going now! Love, Martina

Another day of practical work behind me!!! And it wasn´t even that bad...I think I might even have enjoyed it a bit...I must be ill...;-) Best of all was, I looked on the calendar today and realised, I already have a fifth of the whole thing behind me (ok, not counting the statistical project and the nuclear tests which are going to be in one piece for several weeks during holiday...)!!!! Our prof even let us of one hour early! I´m soooo happy, I could hug you all!!!

And no...I don´t want to think about there being another "practical experience" tomorrow...again...grrrrrr!!!

Sorry, I´m not in the mood to write anything and Disneyland seems like weeks ago...can´t really write about that. Except to say it was great! ;-)

A father passing by his son's bedroom was astonished to see the bed was
nicely made and everything was picked up. Then he saw an envelope propped
up prominently on the center of the bed. It was simply addressed, "Dad."

With the worst of premonitions he opened the envelope and read the letter
with trembling hands:
Dear Dad,

It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new
girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with mom and you.
I've been finding real passion with Joan and she is so nice-even with
all her piercing's, tattoos and her tight Motorcycle clothes. But it's not
only the passion dad, she's pregnant and Joan said that we will be very
happy.

Even though you don't care for her as she is so much older than I, she
already owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for
the whole winter.
She wants to have many more children with me and that's now one of my
dreams too.

Joan taught me that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone and we'll be
growing it for us and for trading it with her friends for all the cocaine
and ecstasy we want. In the meantime, we'll pray that science will find
a cure for AIDS so Joan can get better; she sure deserves it!!

Don't worry Dad, I'm 15 years old now and I know how to take care of
myself. Someday I'm sure we'll be back to visit so you can get to know
your grandchildren.

...exactly one month left till X-mas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hurraaay!!

So, this is going to be quite a long blog, I´ve got soooo much to tell! ;-)

First, Renate and Sabrina came to visit me last weekend, which was really cool! We walked through Paris all day. There´s only one bad thing about it, it was freezing!!! It still is, actually…I seem to have to drink coffee all day just to be able to keep moving. But on the other hand, I had one lesson in a heated room the other day and I almost fell asleep because I was just not used to it…don´t know what I want anymore. Anyway, my friends left on Monday, after having attended a fascinating lecture about particles (huh?). The next day, I had my first lesson in statistical physics, which was quite alright. In the evening, Noel, Maxim, Michel, Eva and I had a little party in Michel´s room. We initiated Eva´s new schischa (a pipe with water) that she got as a present from some weird iraqi friend, had some drinks and smoked a bit (I still can´t believe how many people here are smoking weed, it´s like every other student!!!). Sounds like a nice evening??? Well, it would, if there hadn´t been Michel´s little brother…who just kept on hitting on me. Ever been asked by a sixteen year old about what you´re looking for in a boyfriend? And that was one of the most harmless questions….help!!! I mean, I really tried to take it as a compliment, but what the hell?!?!…Did he watch too many hollywood movies?? He´s, like, half my age! I could be his mother!!!! (Ok, so maybe I´m going a bit over bord there, but I´m still really shocked!) I was sooo embarrassed, I think I´ve never felt this awkward in my whole life!  So I was really glad when the evening was finally over… I still don´t know if I want to go out with Eva and Michel (the K´fet´s got a new rock life programm), I don’t think I want to see them this soon after that.

But anyway, here some great news: I´m going to Disneyland on Saturday with Johannes, Tanja and Domenik!!! I´m really looking forward to that, I´ve never ever been to Disneyland in my life!

Finally got my life back! Exams are over...wooohoooo!!!!...and I can do what I want (well, not really, still got courses, but no more exams till after X-mas!). I will blog more frequently the next week (big promise!), but don´t expect me to the next few days.....because I got visitors from Heidelberg!!! Really looking forward to seeing you, Sabrina and Renate!!!

Soooo, did you come here to read about Tokio Hotel? What a shame, I´m not gonna write anything about them...so sue me! *g*

I actually managed to do some studying done today!!! But I still got to do optics this evening, which sucks... but nevermind, I actually got started! I´m soooo proud of myself!

Sorry, I have to stop listening to music while blogging...the titles are getting downright creepy... At least my neighbours aren´t playing music now, I hate that! I mean, when you have awful taste in music, do you really want everybody in the vicinity to know?!? I hate having to listen to hiphop and rap all night and even worse, the next day I can´t stop humming them, the songs just took up home in my brain! Disgusting!
My parents came to visit over the last days, they´re going to leave tomorrow. We walked through half of Paris (at least according to my feet), took lots of awesome pictures (I put them up for you as soon as I´ll have some time to myself) and I didn´t get a thing done for university...so, starting tomorrow, I got 5 days to learn everything there is to know about fluid mechanics, plasma and optics....sound like fun? If you want to swap places, please feel free to give me a ring! Life sucks!

No, actually, I´m not, but I adore the song! ;-)
My week was fairly good, I had practical work again yesterday and today, yesterday we had another 8 hours of introduction to LabView and today, it was Scanneling Tunnel Microscope (which didn´t work for the first 4 hours....aaarghhh! how annoying!) and Atomic Force Microscope, where we watched gold, silver and graphite atoms, nanotubes, bacteries and viruses. It was fairly interesting though my partner managed to get lost in the morning and didn´t arrive at the building till late afternoon...he´s worse than I am!!!
Tomorrow, my family is going to come and visit me, they will stay all of next week, so don´t expect me to write very much, I´ll probably be busy enough ;-). And afterwards, it´s exam time....no, don´t think of it....thinking might make it real...so if I just manage not to think of it, there must be a chance that exams will just go away...
